Talk Radio Broadcasts: Eighth Annual News/Talk 750 WSB Radio Care-a-Thon August 21 & 22 Proceeds Benefit Aflac Cancer Center & Blood Disorders Service at Children's Healthcare of Atlanta 
For 37 hours in August, talk will make a difference beyond words in the life of a child. On August 21 and 22, 2008, Scott Slade, host of “Atlanta Morning News,” and fellow News/Talk 750 WSB Radio on-air personalities Neal Boortz and Clark Howard will broadcast the eighth annual Care-a-Thon live from the Aflac Cancer Center at Children’s Healthcare of Atlanta’s Scottish Rite campus.

The fundraising broadcast will benefit research and programs at the Aflac Cancer Center & Blood Disorders Service of Children's, ranked among the nation’s top five childhood cancer and hematology programs.

Beginning at 5 a.m. August 21 and continuing through 6 p.m. August 22, listeners will hear not only the voices of WSB Radio’s personalities, but also the courageous voices of children and families who have benefited from care received at the Aflac Cancer Center. The Care-a-Thon will also feature special guests and opportunities to bid on premier auction items. During the broadcast, listeners can tune in to 750 AM, call 888-750-2772 to support the Aflac Cancer Center or listen online, read patient stories and donate by logging on to www.wsbradio.com . A very special auction item will be available for bidding this year - a brand new Corvette ZR-1 donated by Jim Ellis. The 2008 Care-a-Thon will feature patient families from the following Georgia cities: Atlanta, Cartersville, Cumming, Dallas, Fayetteville, Griffin, Kennesaw, Lawrenceville, Loganville, Marietta, Sharpsburg, Smyrna and Villa Rica.

During designated bonus hours, the following organizations will match donations phoned into the Care-a-Thon: Aflac, Kohl's, Nalley, Coaches Curing Kids Cancer, and Hyundai. Additionally, food sponsors for the Care-a-Thon include McDonald's, Slope's, Loving Spoonfuls and Panera Bread Company.
